The scope of the BIAN Service Landscape is intended to include Service Domains that cover all aspects of the financial services ecosystem. It should in theory be possible to select and assemble Service Domains to reflect any viable financial services market participant organization. An initiative within BIAN in partnership with a European academic institution is exploring the way the financial service industry may align to new business models and this will help identify missing Service Domains in the landscape and clarify how the BIAN standard can be related to emerging and evolving business models.
